Andreas Filipp

I'm a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Theoretical Physics (ITP) at Heidelberg University, specializing in the intersection of machine learning and astrophysics. I am part of the SciFM initiative.

Before moving to Heidelberg, I did my PhD at Université de Montreal, affiliated with Ciela and Mila. During my PhD, I focused on studying subgalactic dark matter signal in strong gravitational lenses using machine learning techniques.
I participated in the Mila Speed Science Contest with the goal to communicate my research effectively to a general audience. You can find the video of my presentation here.
