Hi, I am Andreas!
I'm a PhD student at Université de Montreal and affiliated with CIELA and MILA, specializing in the intersection of machine learning and astrophysics. My PhD supervisors are Prof. Laurence Perreault-Levasseur and Prof. Yashar Hezaveh. My research focuses on using machine learning methods to tackle complex challenges in cosmology, pushing the boundaries of what we can learn about the Universe. I focus on strong gravitational lensing and dark matter. My interest lies in studying subgalactic dark matter with the help of machine learning techniques.
Prior to joining the University of Montreal, I earned my Master's degree in Physics at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) in Germany and the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics (MPA). I conducted my Master's thesis under the supervision of Prof. Sherry Suyu and Dr. Yiping Shu.
